Tommy was a great man and a great neighbor. He was always helpful. He took my daughter, Ashley, with he and Debany to so many places and they shared fun times. He was honest as the day is long and ethical. I looked up to him a great deal. I am going to miss him.

So sorry to learn of the passing of Tommy. He was such a great boss and friend from the days that I worked at St Farm.  He always placed his customers and employees first. The world has one gentle soul less,Heaven has one Special Angel more. Go fly high on that mountain Tommy!

Tommy was a South Greene classmate and friend I looked forward to seeing him at the Cassi singings each year, My condolences on the passing of your beloved Tommy George.

Hearing about Tommy passing is a shock.  He was a fine person.   I will miss him terribly, he always made you feel so good every time you saw him.  Prayers to Tommy's family.  Rest In Peace Tommy.  Love you.

We were next door neighbors to Tommy, Deborah, and Debany for many years! Our daughters grew up together! I treasure the memories of the girls running from yard to yard playing and bike riding on our quiet little cul de sac! Tommy would push all the girls on the swing, while singing them gospel songs! Audra had her first sleepover at Debany’s… after several midnight walks back home, with Tommy watching her until she safely arrived back to our porch! Tommy was a great friend to my family and would help us in any way he could! We are thinking of Debany and all of the family during this difficult time of loss!

Tommy Haun… what a kind and generous spirit! I’ve known him for a long time, and he’s always been there not only for me, but for others as well… with an uplifting or encouraging word, a pat on the back, a much-needed hug, or some helpful advice. He was a good man. I feel blessed to have had him as a friend, and I will certainly miss him. I appreciate all he did to help me over the years. Rest easy, Tommy.

I have know Tommy since 1989 and considered him a true friend.  We served together in the House of Representatives until he went to the Senate.  Tommy was a fighter for any cause he deemed worthy, especially those affected his constituents.  Spent many an evening with him over a meal just talking about nothing.  He will be missed.

I’m saddened by the news of Tommy’s death. He was always a friend and fellow agent with my husband , Rex for many years. We enjoyed business relationships and occasional business travel opportunities as well. Enjoyed his talents as a gospel singer back in the day when they visited Trinity. Tommy was well respected and did so much for so many in many capacities. My family will always hold him in high esteem. He will be missed. Prayers lifted for his entire family

The people of Tennessee lost a great son when Tommy Haun passed.  A true gentleman who was always respectful and honest to the responsibilities he undertook, Tommy was not one to sugar coat the truth.  If he was your friend he let you know and the feelings were easily reciprocated. Likewise.  if Tommy did not care for someone, he was polite enough not to let them ever know.  Intelligent, thoughtful and with a wicked since of humor Tommy will be missed by those of us who were lucky enough to have had him a part of their lives even for a short time.  
Rest in Peace my friend and we will raise a glass together again one day soon.  Cheers!

Tommy was my lake neighbor for the last 20-30 years. He was my Wife's principle when she was a second grader a few years back.  He and Wade literally helped me sheet my roof one day many years ago.  We watched him introduce Debany to the lake and "lake life" a few years back. He helped us and we helped him when something was needed.  He came over and had refreshments while watching the sun go down several times. He was a good natured, mellow kind of guy.  He will be missed around his second home here in Dandridge, but well remembered for sure.  I use to make trips to Greeneville to the Bean Barn and I would say 4 out of 5 times I would see him there and we would always shoot the breeze. He lived his life his way and didn't require anyone to change theirs to suit him. Glad to call him a friend.  The "Haun's nest" won't be the same without him, but it will always have great memories of him !  As will Cheryl and I.   


Tommy was a wise and witty gentleman, often providing insight, humor, and friendship during my newspaper reporting career.  Saddened to learn of his passing but grateful for having known him. Condolences to his beloved family and many friends.

Tommy was a talented, effective legislator. I was privileged to call him my friend. On behalf of the members of the Tennessee Automotive Association I send our love, prayers and sincere condolences to his family and many, many friends. The State of Tennessee and her citizens were well served by this kind, honorable, and diligent public servant. 

Tommy was one of my best friends in the Tennessee Senate. He Jerry Cooper and I shared the back row and were known as the back row caucus. I have a photograph of the back row caucus under the glass of my office desk.I have looked at and thought of Tommy often  and will continue to .We got a lot  accomplished for the state of Tennessee .We also has some fun times.Tommy was  well liked by members of both parties and this made him a very effective legislator. When I left Nashville and journeyed to Washington, we maintained our friendship and communicated. I was saddened to learn of his passing. 
I remember his love of his daughter Debany   and his nephew Trent. My deepest  condolences.
