He was a retired Brick Mason.
Thomas enjoyed reading and playing Bluegrass Music. He was a U. S. Army Veteran.
He is survived by a daughter, Amanda Foulks and husband, Greg; two sons, Rev. Jeff Blake and wife Teri and Lionel Blake; grandchildren, Scott Blake and wife Jasmine; two great grandchildren, Carter Blake and Cash Blake. Also surviving are two sisters, Dixie Blake and Madge Walker and husband Vance; a sister-in-law, Marie Blake; several nieces and nephews including special nephews, Chris Blake and Freddy Blake.
Thomas was the son of the late Tom Blake and Malcena Dixon Blake and was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Blake.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 3 – 7 pm at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow visitation at 7 pm in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. David Reece and Rev. Jeff Blake officiating.
A graveside service will be on Saturday at 12 noon in Greystone Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home at 11 am to go in procession to the graveside.
Pallbearers are Scott Blake, Jason Crane, Chris Blake, Freddy Blake, Duane Blake and Tommy Walker.
Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
