Terry was employed for thirty-seven years at Donaldson Filtration Corporation until his passing. He was a member of Tates Chapel United Methodist Church. Terry was a loving father/grandfather and passionate about several things; fishing, traveling, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Tuesday Night Man’s Club.
Terry shared a special relationship with Faith Crum of Greeneville, Tennessee. He is survived by his former wife, Priscilla Ray, who is the mother of Lieutenant Commander Walter Felix (Angelia) Manuel; former wife, Pearl Luvene, who is the mother of Juan (Deanna) Luvene and Patrick Luvene; and former wife, Tina McMillan (deceased), who was the mother of Brandon Manuel and Terrance Manuel.
Terry is also survived by three grandchildren: Isaiah Manuel, Mauriel and Alexandria Rodriguez; and honorary grandchildren: Alexis and Olivia Russell. He leaves his brother Larry (Katherine) Manuel; two sisters: Maria RuthAnn Manuel and Rosemary (Charles) Swagerty; five nieces: Tessa (Derrick) Woods, Shandi (Jonathan) Hill, Enid (Anthony) Derricott, Monique Swagerty-Townsley, and Alyssa Swagerty; four nephews: Larry (Michelle) Manuel, Jr., Ian Mayfield, Darryl (Ashley) Swagerty, and Darren Swagerty; and great nieces and great nephews: Makayla & Jordan Woods, Asialyn, Trace, Trenton, Gage, Selah, and Teagan Manuel, Nickelette Long, Jania Hill, Aiden and Adrien Derricott, Braden Balman, Tavyan Swagerty, Liam Purcell, and Landen Willis.
Terry enjoyed the company of William Barner, Rick Richmond, Calvin Barner, (Uncle) Walter Curtis, Charles Ford, Joe Miller, and a host of family, church members, and many special friends.
The family will receive friends at Rose Hill Funeral Home on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 pm and Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. Funeral Service will immediately follow at 12:00 pm. Elder William Pace will officiate. Procession to GreeneLawn Memory Gardens will follow.
Pallbearers will be Derrick Woods, Jonathan Hill, Heath Willis, Calvin Barner, William Barner, Rick Richmond, Rick Hensley, and Walter Rogers.
Honorary Pallbearers will be The ICU staff of Laughlin Memorial Hospital, Dr. Felix Fernandez, and the crew of Long John Silvers.
