Sue Good Bowman

She was retired from Magnavox , North American Phillips after 43 years of service. Sue volunteered for several years after her retirement at Morning Pointe Assisted Living. She attended Mt Olive Red Hill Church in Camp Creek where she served as secretary and treasurer. She was a member of East TN Antique Tractor Association.

The family stated Sue dedicated her life to serving others in her community by volunteering in multiple organizations. One of her greatest joys was teaching Sunday School and directing Vacation Bible School for over 40 years at Mountain View Missionary Baptist Church in the Kelley Gap Community.

Sue is survived by her husband of 65 years, Marvin Bowman; one son, Wayne (Rhonda) Bowman; one daughter, Sharon (Glen) Wade; six grandchildren, Tony (Des) Bowman, Christy (Adrian) Pittman, Krissi (Keith) Silvers, Jordy (Keely) Clark, Bronson Wade, and Katie Bowman (Matt Luttrell). Also surviving are 7 great grandchildren, Maisie Silvers, Colton Silvers, Jeremiah Bowman, Hannah Bowman, Aubree Pittman, Kinley Clark and Garrett Clark. In addition, Sue is also survived by a brother-in-law, Dearl House and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Good and Ella Baskett Good; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lacy and Kate Bowman; brothers, Douglas Hensley and Myrpha Hensley; a sister, Mary Hensley Price and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 8 pm with Rev. Jim Fillers officiating.

Interment will be on Saturday in Red Hill Cemetery at 2 pm. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1 pm on Saturday to go in procession to the cemetery.

Pallbearers are Tony Bowman, Bronson Wade, Jordy Clark, Keith Silvers, Colton Silvers, Matt Luttrell, Adrian Pittman, Billy Bowman and Ray Massey.

Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Joe Austin, Dr. Tyler Bailey and E. J. Swatzell.
