Shelby J. Johnson

She was a housewife and a devoted mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Johnson was a member of Hardin's Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years: Hubert L. Johnson; children and spouses: Brenda and Donnie Smith, Terri and Destry Grimes, Robert and Angie Johnson, and William Johnson; grandchildren: Josh, Brandi, Katelin, Tiffany, Haley, and Bryson; several great grandchildren; a brother, Steve Hinkle; sisters: Peggy Hinkle, Patsy Clendenon, Carolyn McClain, Shirley Hensley, Judy Crain, Brenda Dugger, and Joan Gschwind; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was the daughter of the late Harold L. and Early Hinkle and was preceded in death by her brothers: Danny, Hugh, Jimmy, David, and Jack Hinkle.

The family will receive friends from 6pm-8pm Wednesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00am Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Buster Shelton and Rev. Bill Hughes officiating.

Interment will follow at Hardin's Chapel Cemetery.
