Ruby was employed by the V.A. Hospital. She worked hard after a childhood of poverty. She worked so hard for everything she got in life. She earned her Doctorate degree highest level and was a nurse for 32 years. She retired at age 88, still going strong until the last six months of life. The Bible was her guidelines. Prayer and her close friend, Jesus Christ was her comfort. She helped many people in her life.
She was of the United Methodist faith.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah and Donna; one son, Billy Davis, and her beloved fur baby, Chloe Louise; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a special niece, Teresa Elliott Rutledge of Franklin, TN.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Johnnie Davis; her parents, Arthur and Dollie Tweed; daughter, Judy George; sisters, Pearl Elliot and Viola Warren; her special niece's husband, John Rutledge.
The family will receive friends at 5-7pm on Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will follow at 7pm in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel. Rev. Jim Fillers will officiate.
Interment will be held in Greenelawn Memory Gardens at 2:00 pm Friday. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service. Pallbearers will be Bill Griffey, Larry Shelton, Grad Key and Brad Key, Jr.
