She was a homemaker.
Ms. Cogburn attended Lord’s Tabernacle Church.
Survivors include four daughters and two sons-in-law: Linda and Jessie Berry, Ruby Ann Shelton, Ethel and William Mitchell, Jennifer Necessary, all of Greeneville; ten grandchildren: April Early, Janet Ownby, Rochelle Blackburn, Brandis House, Charles Delph, Shanda Richards, Kiah Trantham, Terrence Mitchell, Joseph Fortenberry and Emily Short; 12 great grandchildren; two sisters: Effie Wishon of Florida and Flo Maywalt of South Carolina; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was the daughter of the late Howard and Rosa Lee Shropshire and was preceded in death by two grandsons, Brandon Paul Harmon and Cecil Ray Cooter; and three sisters, Mary Jane Shropshire, Dollie Eldora Dockery and Ruby Ilene Dockery.
The funeral service will be held a t 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2012, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel. Rev. Buster Shelton will officiate.
Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, at Cross Anchor Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery for the committal service.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Ownby, Chad House, Kiah Trantham, Terrence Mitchell, Joseph Fortenberry and Terry Necessary.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
