He was retired.
Mr. Gregg attended Carter’s Chapel United Methodist Church, where he was active in church activities.
He was twice past governor of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #692. He had attained the highly respected Pilgrim Degree. He was active with the ritual team of the local Moose Lodge, winning national recognition. He volunteered countless hours for community service in Greeneville.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Michelle and David Hughes of Greeneville; son: Tracy Gregg of Greeneville; four grandchildren: Christine Cobble of Newport, Thomas West and Maleah Gregg of Greeneville, and Savanna Gregg of Sevierville; two great grandsons: Skylar Capps and Micah Capps of Newport; great granddaughter: Layla Rae West; special step-daughter: Kristy Pierce and her children: Colin Ricker, Kara Ricker, and Mason Garber; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Betty Reynolds and Heidi and Phillip McCurry; four brothers and two sisters-in-law: Lowell and Shirley Gregg, Gene Gregg, James Gregg, and Hovie and Deborah Gregg, all of Greeneville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the son of the late John Elmer and Lucille Keller Gregg.
The family will receive friends from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
There will be a Moose Ritual Funeral Service conducted by the Moose Lodge #692 at 2:00 pm Saturday in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel.
The funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mark Wills officiating.
Interment will follow in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Tracy Gregg, David Hughes, Wesley Dowell, Timothy Reynolds, Gregg McCurry, and Phillip McCurry.
Honorary pallbearers are Angie Wampler with Amedisys Hospice, and brothers and sisters of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #692.
