She was retired from the State of Tennessee and was a very dedicated and involved member of Park Avenue Baptist Church and later Temple Baptist Church, her home churches in Nashville. She moved her membership to First Baptist Church when she moved to Greeneville in 2015.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Donald F. Moeller; children, Diane (Jimmy) Sircy of Naples, Florida; Carolyn “Lyn” Ashburn (Lorraine Fleming) of Greeneville, Ken (Claudine) Ashburn of Peachtree City, Georgia, Lynn “Tiny” Malone (Larry) of Daphne, Alabama, and Adrian “Bubba” Ashburn of Mobile, Alabama; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild; multiple nieces and nephews and a special friend, Janice Foster of Nashville who has been her friend since first grade.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Marie Campbell; husbands, Kenneth Ashburn and Fred Ashburn and a brother, Robert Campbell.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12 pm to 6 pm in the chapel of Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 6 pm with Rev. Joey Tillery officiating.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 9 am to 2 pm at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens and Funeral Home in Nashville.
The graveside service will be at 2:30 pm in the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be given to St. Jude’s, 262 Danny Thomas PI, Memphis, Tennessee 38105 or to the Wounded Warrior Project, P. O. Box 758516 Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
