She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Ottinger was a member of Cedar Creek Church of God.
She was a loving mom, grandmother, great grandmother, mother-in-law, and special friend to everyone she met.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law: Miranda and Roger Bowman and Linda and Eddie Short, all of Greeneville; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Helen Lamb and Lucy and Clinton B. Harrison, all of Greeneville; grandson and family: Spec4 Derick and Kimberly Bowman and Keeley of Ft. Meade, Maryland; grandson: B.J. Short of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; two wonderful ladies that she thought of as granddaughters: Ashley Waddle and Jessica Solomon Babb; sister-in-law: Sandra Denney of Greeneville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Charles and Margene Ottinger of Greeneville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Nettie Collins and was preceded in death by her husband: Billy Joe Ottinger; a son: J.B. Ottinger; three sisters: Ruth Foulks Phillips, Alice McDonald, and Mildred Collins; two sisters-in-law: Maxine Munsey and Minnie Faye Ottinger; and two brothers-in-law: Edward Lamb and William Phillips.
The family will receive friends 12-3pm and 5-8pm Wednesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 3pm Thursday, April 18, 2013, at the Cedar Creek Church of God with Rev. Dwayne Pierce and Rev. Gerald Rudd officiating.
Interment will follow in Cedar Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Ottinger, Randy Ottinger, Royce Davis, Doyle Foulks, Charles Ricker, B.J. Short, and Buddy Seaton.
The family extends a special thanks to Laughlin Health Care and Amedisys Hospice.
