Mr. Seaton retired from Greene Farmers Co-op after 42 years of service. He was a CPL in the U.S. Army, where he fought in the Korean War.
He was a loving father, brother, grandfather, and great-grand father. He was known for being honorable and loyal to his community and a cornerstone for his family and friends. He always had something funny to talk about, “YEAHHH!!!”, and was always there to lend a helping hand.
Survivors include his two daughters and sons-in-law: Teresa (Allen) Woods and Marie (Randy) Davis; two brothers and sisters- in-law: Silas (Minnie) Seaton and Guydean (Judy) Seaton; one sister-in-law, Carolyn Banks; four grandchildren and their spouses: Jeremy Shelton, Kristy (Daniel) Wallace, Cyerra (Michael) Lane, and Tyanna (Logan) Tweed; eight great-grandchildren, Jordan Shelton, Jalen Shelton, Gage Shelton, Teagan Wallace, Tatum Wallace, Zoey Wallace, Easton Wallace, and Emmaline Tweed; and eight nieces and nephews: Alan Morgan, Sharon Hartman, Rhonda Long, Dale Brown, Zan Weems, Amy Hensley, Brent Seaton, and Wendell Seaton.
The family wishes to give thanks to a special caregiver and friend, Jessica Lewis, Vickie Neas, Amedisys Hospice, the Veterans Administration staff, and his special little white dog, “Angel”.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Helen Seaton; parents: Charlie and Dollie Seaton; twin sister and brother-in-law, Pauline and Buddy “Aubrey” Brown; brother and sister-in-law, Lewis and Lorrain Seaton; and two nephews: Terry and Robin Seaton.
The family will receive from 4-6 pm Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm in Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Willis Bowers officiating.
The service will be livestreamed on the Marie Davis Facebook page.
Interment will be held at 2:00 pm Monday at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home Monday at 1:00 pm to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Shelton, Jordan Shelton, Brent Seaton, Brayden Seaton, Blake Renner, and Marty Renner.
