She was caregiver, a homemaker, and a member of Casi Full Gospel Church.
Her family states she had a strong faith in her Lord and would always witness to those who needed comfort. She liked the outdoors, working in her flowers and enjoyed being surrounded by her animals. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and sister and all she came in touch loved her.
She is survived by one son, John Foster and wife Lynette of Greeneville; four daughters, Greta Hazelwood and husband Charlie of Jonesborough, Verna Adams of South Central. Robin Tuggle and husband Danny of Sunnyside Community and Kymberly Jones and husband Bobby of Greeneville; five grandchildren, Angela White and husband Wayne, Martin Adams, Jason Ramsey, and Brandi Broyles and husband Benjamin and Valiree Foster; two great grandchildren, Eligah White and Lacey Adams; one sister, Bonnie Dunbar of South Central Community as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of the late George Andrew Phillips and Myrtle Reece Phillips. Nellie was preceded in death by her husband, Crawford Foster; two grandchildren, Raven Legner and Adam Foster as well as several brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 – 7 pm at Casi Full Gospel Church. The funeral service will follow at 7 pm at the church with Pastor Doug Hinshaw officiating.
A graveside service will be on Thursday at 11 am in Liberty Cemetery.
Pallbearers are, Danny Tuggle, Martin Adams, Jason Ramsey, Bobby Jones, Carl Dunbar and Charlie Hazelwood.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Caris Hospice and nurses and staff of Signature Health Care.
