Mildred J. Seay

She was a mother and homemaker.

Mrs. Seay was a faithful member of Hartman’s Chapel United Methodist Church for more than 62 years. Mr. and Mrs. Seay were the first to be married in the new church.

She enjoyed gardening, along with her husband, Dewey. Her great joy was cooking and spending quality time with her family.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years: Dewey Seay; son and daughter-in-law: Mike and Denise Seay of Mosheim; two sisters and brother-in-law: Jo Murray and Rena Faye and Wallace Hensley of Greeneville; sister-in-law: Vida Myers of Mosheim; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Lee Johnson and Luster George Johnson; a brother: Pete Johnson; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Marcella and Pete Parham; two brothers-in-law: Bill Murray and John Myers; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Bruce and Nuckie Seay.

The family will receive friends from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The body will remain at the funeral home until time to be taken to Hartman’s Chapel United Methodist Church for the funeral service at 2:00 pm Friday. Rev. John Grimm and Rev. Jim Fain will officiate.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Milton Parham, Darwin Jones, Marty Parham, Danny Myers, David Myers, and Eddie Hartman.
