He was employed by Greeneville Oil as a maintenance tech.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He loved old country music and all of his family and friends dearly.
Survivors include his fiancée, Vanessa Rose; three sons, that were his whole world: Cory Waddell, Josh Waddell, and Hunter Waddell; his parents: Terry and Jackie Waddell; a beloved brother and his best friend: Marty Waddell; a sister, whom he loved, and her husband: Terry Waddell Barrett and John Barrett; a very special niece: Makenzie Waddell; several more nieces, nephews, and cousins, whom he adored; a very special beloved friend: Jenny Waddell; a beloved part of his life was Shanna Waddell; an aunt and uncle: Ronnie and Debbie Waddell; an uncle: Jackie Waddell; and two special great aunts: Evelyn White and Mary Greenlee.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Annette Waddell; his grandparents: James and Frances Waddell and Morris and Earlda McAmis; and three special uncles: Roger McAmis, Herman “Red” Greenlee, and Denver White.
The family will receive friends from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 8:00pm Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Richard Long officiating.
Interment will be at 12:00pm Wednesday in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 11:00am Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Lance Waddell, Tim Tweed, Justin Waddell, A.J. Weems, Tim Haire, and Zach Cobble.
Honorary pallbearers are Bryson Ricker and all Mike’s beloved friends, his co-workers at Greeneville Oil, and two special uncles, Ronnie and Jackie Waddell.
