Mary Ruth Malone "Granny Mary"

She retired as a secretary at State Farm Insurance.

Mrs. Malone was a member of Cross Anchor Presbyterian Church.

She was a Gold Star Mother and a member of the Grange, Eastern Star, and the Cross Anchor Home Demonstration Club.

Survivors include three children and spouses: Barbara Doty, Fred W. Jr. and Marlene Malone, and Agnes and James Williamson of Alabama; daughter-in-law: Davina Kidwell of Florida; grandchildren and spouses: Scott Weems, Carmen Weems, William and Melody Dunn, Doug and Lisa Dunn, Patricia and Robin Seaton, Chad and Paula Malone, Angela and Jesse Crawford; great grandchildren: Lillian Weems, Mary Weems, Chloe Graham, Cadence King, Austin and Taylor Dunn, Ethan Dunn, Daniel and Brittany Dunn, David and Haley Dunn, Rachelle Seaton, Ashlyn Renner-Laws, Chase Malone, Amethyst Crawford, Jacinth Crawford, Jeshua Crawford; eight great-great grandchildren; brother: John D. Britton of Florida; sister and brother-in-law: Patricia and Doyle Brown; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a host of friends (She said everyone she met was special).

She was preceded in death by her husband: Fred W. Malone, Sr.; a son: William Franklin Malone, who was killed in Vietnam; parents: Roy and Molly Britton; two brothers; and three sisters.

The family will receive friends from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 8:00 pm Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Sam Smith and Rev. Bronson Carter officiating.

Interment will be at 10:00 am Monday in Cross Anchor Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:00 am Monday to go in procession to the cemetery for the graveside service.

Pallbearers will be her great grandsons.
