She attended Overlook Drive FreeWill Baptist Church as long as her health permitted.
Mrs. Malone was a loving mother and grandmother who was known for her beautiful smile and quick wit. She was a very caring provider and caregiver for her family.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law: Brenda and Charles Franklin of Greeneville and Shirley Grimes of Gainesville, Florida; one son and daughter-in-law: Jackie and Glenna Malone of Greeneville; grandchildren: Kristin Alm and husband, Michael, of Knoxville, her special caregiver Buffi Gray and husband, Chris, Valerie Solomon and husband, Brad, Craig Malone and wife, Jennifer, Spring Laws and husband, Raul, all of Greeneville, Marlo Scott and Onya Josephs and husband, Kevin, of Gainesville, Florida; great grandchildren: Hayley Gray, Kailyn Solomon, Madison Malone, and Sophia Laws of Greeneville, Ellery Alm and Harper Alm of Knoxville, James Bachman, Alec Bachman, Avery Bachman, Kevya Josephs, and Kevin Josephs of Gainesville, Florida; step great grandchildren: Peyton Gray and LeeAnne Solomon of Greeneville, Tyler Hensley of the South Central community; a special niece: Carolyn Gammons of Greeneville; and many other nieces, nephews and friends.
She was the daughter of the late John and Hannah Blair Sauls and was preceded in death by her husband, Clay Malone; brothers: Charles, Marvin and Jim Sauls; and sisters: Odell Carter, Reba Harper, Nette Gregg, Vern Jones, Sybil Kirk and Flora Cobble.
The family will receive friends 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 9 at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Following the visitation, the funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Dwayne Steele officiating.
Interment will follow at Cross Anchor Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chris Gray, Michael Alm, Craig Malone, Brad Solomon, Raul Laws and Fred Gammons.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to the staff of East Wing at Laughlin Health Care Center, the staff of Amedisys Hospice and Dr. Charles Montgomery for their continuous, loving care for Mrs. Malone.
