She was a member of Cedar Creek Church of God. She worked at Magnavox, after retiring, she started babysitting at home. She loved all kids, especially the ones she took care of. She along with Inez Humphreys, was a Sunday School teacher for many years. Then later in life, she was a foster grandparent at Nolachuckey school for the kindergarten class. She truly loved that job, and working with Mrs. Tallie, Mrs. Wendy and especially Kip. She was a Godly woman and a wonderful wife for 63 years and a mom, aunt, sister and mamaw.
She is survived by two daughters: Amy (Brian) Britt and Kim Davis; two special nieces: Sandra (Mark) Ramsey and Becky (Jonathan) Waddell; grandchildren: Nicholas Britt, Chad Smith, Ashley Waddell, Christopher and Ellis Waddell; great grandchildren: Grayson, Josephine and Henry Britt, Westin and Skylar Smith; one sister: Ann Rader; three brothers: Deannie Goins, Rommie (Nancy) Goins, Kent (Jaymie) Goins; brother-in-law: Trent Taylor; sisters-in-law: Sheila Goins Shipley, Barbara Davis and Mary Ruth (David) Harmon and many nieces, nephews and friends; special friends: Minnis and Norma Waddell and Donald and Frances Collins.
She was preceded in death by her husband: John R. Davis; a son: Kendall Lyle Davis; her parents: J. D. and Sally Goins; sisters and brothers-in-law: Marlene (Bob Foreman, Curtis Wilhoit), Pricilla Taylor; a brother: Dexter Goins; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Betty and Bill Wells; a special nephew: Lyle McAmis and a grandson: Ben Britt.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Friday at the Cedar Creek Church of God. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday at Cedar Creek Church of God with Rev. Dwayne Pierce and Rev. Sam Chaffin officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Waddell, Chris Bailey, Jeremy Southerland, Joe Waddell, Cody Rambo, D J Rambo, Todd Davis, and Preston Bailey.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Challengers Class at Cedar Creek Church of God and friends.
