She was a resident of North Waterfork Road, Greeneville before moving to Life Care Center of Greeneville.
She was retired from Parker Hanifin after 25 years of service and attended Gethsemane United Methodist Church.
She loved canning, sewing, watching the Atlanta Braves with her husband on TV and spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Cox is survived by her husband: James Robert Cox; two daughters and sons-in-law: Debra Lynn and Haden Scott of Greeneville and Donna and Rae Hill of Jefferson City, Tennessee; son and daughter-in-law: Bruce and Sheila Cox of Kernersville, North Carolina; grandchildren: George Scott and spouse, Mandy, Elizabeth Scott Hamilton and spouse, Matt, Haden Lynn Scott, Latosha Rae Hill Moody and spouse Lucas, Kristi Cox Burch and spouse Will, Brian Cox and spouse Alise, April Graham and spouse Ryan, and Brittany Cox; great grandchildren: Kylie Scott, Wyatt Moody, Nathan Moody, Morgan Leeann Moody, Katie Burch, Nicholus Burch, Jordon James Hamilton, and an unborn baby girl, Caroline, child of April Cox Graham; sisters: Willie Kate Parvin of Knoxville, Dollie Frye and Medra Justis of Clemmons, North Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews; and special caregiver: Judith Franklin.
She was a daughter of the late Louis and Nola Davis Rader and was preceded in death by aher father-in-law and mother-in-law: Lonzo Cox and Nellie McCarty; three sisters: Beryl Rader, Lucy Mottern and spouse Luke, and Ruth Lawson Wolfe; brothers: Luke Rader, Thomas Rader, L.V. Rader, Davie Rader, Lewis Rader Jr., Ted Rader; and an infant brother: Benjamin James Rader.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home preceding the funeral service at 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Marvin Dobson will officiate.
Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. Friday at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. It is requested that family and friends meet at the cemetery Friday at 1:00 p.m. for the committal service.
Her pallbearers are Owen Freeman, Joe Harrison, Curtis Myers, Dudley Myers, Brian Cox, and George Scott.
