He was an employee of the Maintenance Dept. at Greene Valley Developmental Center.
Mr. Myers was a member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church.
He was also an member of Greeneville Moose Lodge #692.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Travis and Kimberly Holt of Greeneville; one daughter and son-in-law: Teresa and Walker Smith of Afton; three grandchildren: Ethan Holt, Austene Smith, Laney Smith; his father: Joe Myers of Greeneville;
brother and sister-in-law: Jeff and Gayle Myers of Greeneville; aunts and uncles: Carolyn Myers, Betty and Brab Gregg, Ronnie and Becky Williams, Katherine Myers and Dock Hope all of Greene County; several nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his mother: Agnes “Peg” Myers.
The funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, May 1, 2011, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel. Rev. Dr. Joe Miller and Rev. Dolphus Cutshaw will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Hank Gregg, Ronnie Nelson, Jeff Turner, Mike Keller, Curtis Myers, Kent Myers, and Mickey Myers.
Honoraray pallbearers will be Lynn Bowens, Bobby Crum, Mike Sauceman, Roy Shelton, Dillard Shelton, Bill Crum, Dwight Hensley, David Rice, J.C. Kelley, staff of the Maintenance Dept. of Greene Valley Developmental Center, members of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm and from 7-9 pm Saturday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
