Marilyn M. Heilman

Marilyn Patton Mangum Heilman, 97, of Greeneville, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Laughlin Health Care. She was a retired school teacher; who belonged to many national, state and local organizations, including Greene County and TN Retired Teachers Associations; National and TN Art Education Associations; Andrew Johnson Club/TN Federation of Women; Greene County Heritage Trust For Historical Preservation. In addition, she was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Marilyn is survived by sister, Gloria Emerson Mangum Berthelsen of Sherrills Ford, NC; brother, Frank I. (Zaida Miller Mangum) Mangum, Jr. of Deer Park, TX, and niece, Christienne Isabel Berthelsen of Matthews, NC

She is preceded by her parents, Frank I. Mangum and Juanita Saphronia Emerson Mangum; husband, Walter R. Heilman, Jr.; son, Walter R. Heilman, III; and brother-in law, Richard Miller Berthelsen.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Jenkins, Dan Donaldson.

Interment will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery.
