Margaret Marie Kirk

She was a former employee of Greeneville Insurance and presently co-owner of K-Motors.

Mrs. Kirk was a member of Christ United Methodist Church where she had served in various positions. She was also involved in the Morristown District of United Methodist Women.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years: Bobby R. Kirk; one daughter and son-in-law: Deborah and Charles Thrower of Brandon, Florida; one son and daughter-in-law: Michael and Vicki Kirk of Greeneville; three grandsons: Benjamin Kirk, Robert Kirk and Kirk Labusch; two granddaughters: Heather Thrower and Christina Thrower; two great grandchildren: Zachary and Jaelynne; brother and sister-in-law: Ivan and Linda Ward of West Palm Beach, Florida; two sisters-in-law: Dean Kirk of Mohawk and Joanne Stanton of Greeneville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was the daughter of the late Ivan Ward, Sr. and Minnie Jones Ward and was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Hurley.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday preceding the funeral service at 8:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Ginger Isom and Kelli Bracken will officiate.

Interment will follow at 11:00 am Thursday, September 1, at Andrew Johnson National Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10:30 am Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery for the graveside service.

Her pallbearers are Benjamin Kirk, Robert Kirk, Kirk Labusch, Charles Hurley, Leon Bird, and Charles Thrower.

Ray and Jean Adams and the Evelyn Murphy Sunday School Class of Christ United Methodist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
