Imogene was retired from Plusmark.
She and Hobert are members of Mountain View Free Will Baptist Church.
She was a loving wife and mother.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years: Hobert Lee Carter; her daughters and sons-in-law: Debra Dotson, of the home, Shirley and Danny Southerland, Brenda and Michael Sherman, and Helen McCamey; her sons and daughters-in-law: Hobert Jr. and Pamela Carter, Cecil and Brandy Carter, all of Greeneville; 21 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Frances and Gerald Sartain of White Pine, Gennie Lynn and Doc Brown of Virginia, Nancy Justis of Midway; three brothers and two sisters-in-law: Harvey and Serena Sauceman of Greeneville, Fuzz and Faye Sauceman of Bulls Gap, Jack Sauceman of Midway; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of the late Cecil and Bonnie Burrell Sauceman and was preceded in death by two brothers, Carroll and J.L. Sauceman, and a sister, Loretta Sauceman.
The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Tuesday at St. Joseph's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
Following visitation the funeral service will be held at 8 pm at St. Joseph Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, 790 McDonald Road, Midway, TN 37809. Rev. Bo Reagan will officiate. Interment will be 1 pm Wednesday in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
