She was retired from Greene Valley Developmental Center and attended Gethsemane Church.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Arnetta Leonard and family; and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Lynn Gibson; her parents, Bird and Maggie Hopson Blake; grandparents, who raised her, Billy and Florence Hopson and in laws, Collie and Nina Gibson.
The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 pm Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday at Gethsemane Church Cemetery. Owen Freeman will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Steven Freeman, Codey Freeman, Conner Freeman, Roy Weems, Johnny Justis, and Bradley Hopson.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Durham-Hensley Health and Rehab staff and Caris Hospice staff.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
