He was retired.
Mr. Walker was a member of Gospel Tabernacle Church.
He served with the United States Army in Vietnam.
Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years: Billie Walker; step granddaughter: Madison Brown of Florida; two uncles: Ron McCraine of Georgia and Enoch McCraine of Florida; two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law: Boyd Morrow of Greeneville, Dave Morrow and wife, Cindy, of Indiana; sisters-in-law: Bonita Fox and husband, Jimmy, June Johnson, Jackie Swift and husband, Richard, Millie Miller, and Rena Morrow of Texas; several nieces and nephews; family friends: Mary Seaton, June Johnson, Louise Weems, Ken Parker, Harlan and Debbie Chandler; Kenneth and Doris Metcalf; his church family; his pets: Tipper and Brewster; and his caregivers with Caris Hospice: Alicia and Janet “Sunshine”.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Bee and Bessie McCraine who raised him from the age of one week; his birth parents: Marvin and Anna Ruth Walker; step daughters: Kala Dixon Trouten and Kenya Dixon Brown; and a step grandson, Eric Trouten.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 pm Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2 pm Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Perry Foshie officiating.
Interment will follow in Cross Anchor Cemetery. The Greene County Honor Guard and the Tennessee National Guard will conduct a military graveside service.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Wilkerson, Rusty Ottinger, Paul Rice, Ralph Shelton, Danny Hensley, and Michael Hensley.
