Johnny Robert Aldridge, 74, of the Kingsport Highway, Greeneville, passed away Friday, October 03, 2014, at Laughlin Health Care.
He was a first class repairman at Magnavox.
Mr. Aldridge was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church.
He served in the Marines during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
He was survived by his wife of 47 years: Glenda Aldridge; Debbie and Donald Johnson, Donna and Dayton Leach, Ada Lou Morelock, and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Hazel Aldridge, and two sisters, Wanda Reynolds and Helen Cutshall.
The family extends a special thanks to Laughlin Health Care and Caris Hospice and all the special caregivers that helped over the years, including Dwight and Karen Carr, and Delmer and Sissy Light.
The family will receive friends from 5pm-8pm Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home or at their home anytime.
Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 8pm Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tommy Melton and Rev. Junior Burchell officiating.
Interment will be at 2pm Monday at Andrew Johnson National Cemetery. The Greene County Honor Guard and the Tennessee National Guard will conduct a military graveside service. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 1:30pm Monday to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Feezell, Darrell Key, Shannon Carr, Jeff Light, Ethan Hite, Jeremy Light, Larry Scott, and Junior Ward.
Honorary pallbearers are his Sunday School Class members at Sunnyside.
