He worked over 40 years for MECO.
Mr. Mullins was a veteran who served 6 years in the U. S. Navy aboard the USS Oklahoma City CGL-5 during the Viet Nam War.
Survivors include his wife: Wanda Roberta Mullins; children: Tabitha Mullins and John-Paul Mullins; three sisters: Trula Morgan, Evelyn Morgan, Carol Holm and husband, Bruce; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law: Charlotte and Bob Smith and Ellis Crawford; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
He was the son of the late Clyde, Sr. and Lizzie Mullins and was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde Mullins, Jr.; sister, Judy Crawford; sister-in-law, Della Mullins; brothers-in-law, Tom Morgan and Tony Morgan; two nieces, Seprina Morgan and Lisa Mullins; a nephew, Timmy Crawford; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Iula Cutshaw.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 8 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Buster Shelton officiating.
Interment will be at 10 am Wednesday in Andrew Johnson National Cemetery. The Greene County Honor Guard and the U.S. Navy Military Honors Team will conduct a military graveside service. Family and friends are asked to meet at 9 am Wednesday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
The family wished to express a special thanks to the staff of Christian Care Center of Johnson City. Their care was excellent and we were treated more like family than as if it was their job. We greatly appreciated everyone.
