He retired from CE Minerals.
Mr. Shehan was a member of The Lord's House in Chuckey.
Isaiah 40:31: "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
He loved fishing and camping.
Survivors include his wife: Eunice Shehan; one son and daughter-in-law: Johnny and Crystal Shehan; five daughters and sons-in-law: Brooke and Jeremiah Partin, Sherry and Gregg Bowman, Kim and Ron Biller, Karen and Darwyn Tweed, and Tess and Steve Porter; grandchildren: Bentley Partin, Kourtney Wills, Alexis Wampler, Leslie Shehan, Allie Shehan, Amber and Megan Travis, Jessica Penley, Josh Tweed, Faith Tweed, Matt Berry, Austin Porter, and Stanley Bowman; four great-grandchildren: Hannah Penley, Allison and Madison Penley, and Makayla "Kayla" Gabrielle Tweed; brothers and sisters-in-law: Mack and Sally Sheehan, Melvin and Kathey Sheehan, and Wayne and Cris Shehan; sisters and brothers-in-law: Ruby Tipton, Hazel Lance, Doris and Russell Cox, Jane and Wayne Lewis, and Jo Ann Todd; and special friends: Ken Thacker, Zane Tucker, Don Noah, Gail Gray, and the rest of his church family.
He was preceded in death by his brothers: Robert "Jack" Sheehan, Dallas Sheehan, Orville Sheehan, Monroe Sheehan, and Ned Sheehan; and sisters: Ethel Orwige, Mabel Geagley, and Virginia Sheehan.
The family will receive friends 3-6 p.m. today at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 6 p.m. in the chapel. Ken Thacker, Teddy Partin, and Alfred Ball will officiate.
Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Jackson Chapel Cemetery, just off the Warrensburg Road. Friends and family are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10 a.m. to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Partin, Josh Tweed, Darwyn Tweed, Ron Biller, Steve Porter, and Gregg Bowman.
