James Epp “Jim” Webb, 84, of Hendry Hollow Lane, Bulls Gap, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2010, in the V A Mt. Home Hospital, Johnson City. He was a machinist and was of the Baptist tradition of faith. Mr. Webb was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U. S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years: Blanche Webb; five sons and daughters-in-law: John and Bev Webb of Texas; Jim and Jeannie Webb of Minnesota; Kent and Deborah Webb of North Carolina; Gary Webb, Freddie and Trina Strong, all of Greene County; other children in different states; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a very special pet, Spicy.
He was the son of the late Mark and Ella Hatfield Webb and was preceded in death by a sister, Mary “Sissy” Phillips; three brothers, George, Mark, and Jeff Webb.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 8, 2010, at the Kiser Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Doug Jennings officiating. Interment will follow in Prices Cemetery (Romeo).
Pallbeareres will be family and friends.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Kiser Rose Hill Funeral Home and at other times at the Comfort Inn, 1790 East Andrew Johnson Hwy, Greeneville, Tenn, Room 230.
