Survivors include his wife, Thera Ann Anderson Love; two daughters and sons-in-law: Amy and Dr. Sid Boyd of Morristown, TN and Dr. Teresa and Craig Wild of Newport, TN; four grandchildren (spouses) Lauren Boyd Shaub (Michael) of Mt. Juliet, TN, Brandon Boyd of Memphis, TN, Brittany Wild Vick (Michael) of Parrottsville, TN, and Erika Wild Herrera (Max) of Spartanburg, SC; two great-grandchildren Edyn and Selah Shaub of Mt. Juliet, TN; sisters: Bennie McDonald (Glen, deceased) and Anna Lee White (Timer): brother, G. Thomas Love (Louise) of Greeneville, TN; nieces and nephews, Kim McDonald Roberts, LeighAnn White Arrington, Johnny Hutton, Tommy Love, Mike Love, Chris Love, Pat Love, and Paul Love; and numerous cousins and lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Kate (Bowers) Love; sister, Dorothy Love Hutton; and brothers, Walter Love and Elbert Love.
Mr. Love was born May 6, 1928 in Bright Hope, TN to Clarence and Kate (Bowers) Love. He attended the University of Tennessee and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. On February 14, 1960 he married the former Thera Ann Anderson of Greeneville, TN. He is retired from North American Phillips, was a lifelong farmer, and also worked at the Orebank Convenience Center where he loved to visit with those in the community. Mr. Love was a member of the Pine Grove U.M. Church where he served on various committees, official board, and was the long-time president of the Kathleen Hutton Sunday School Class. Also, he was involved in many community activities over the years including the Glenwood Ruritan, United Way of Greene County, and served as a precinct election holder at the Orebank precinct for many years.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home on Friday, August 28, 2015. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Jim Fain and Rev. Don Petty at the Pine Grove U. M. Church at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 29, 2015 with visitation from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service and will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Pine Grove U.M. Church in care of Patricia Clowers, treasurer, at 202 Little Warrensburg Rd., Midway, TN 37809.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Hutton, Chris Love, Mike Love, Paul Love, Tommy Love, David White, Tommy Thomas, Charles Holland, and David Rader.
