He was retired from Massillon Steel Casting Company
Mr. Gaddis was a member of Overlook Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law: Steve Gaddis of Greeneville; Ronnie and Doris Gaddis Mitchell, of Mosheim; five daughters and four sons-in-law: Karen and Kelton Merriweather of Kentucky; Mary Anne “Debbie” Dossett of Indiana; Janet and Mike Darnell of Kingsport; Patricia and Johnnie Church of Chuckey; Deidre “Dee Dee” and Charles Malone of Greeneville; stepchildren and spouses: Denise and Doug Jones of Dandridge; Randy and Penny Bolinger; Marshall and Misty Bolinger, Pam and Ken Price, Stephanie Bolinger, Doug and Sally Bolinger, Don Bollinger, all of Greene County

He was the son of the late Robert Gaddis and Ruth Roach and was preceded in death by wives: Norma Jean Crum Gaddis and Shirley Crum Bolinger Peters Gaddis; a son, Jimmy Gaddis; a daughter, Sandra Lynn Gaddis; great granddaughter, Lani Brynn Hinkle; several brothers and sisters.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 27, 2010, in the Kiser Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Alfred Cutshall
officiating. Interment will follow in Limestone Free Will Baptist Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Josh Hinkle, Eric Hinkle, David Malone, Sean Malone, Daniel Pitt, Dakota Darnell, Steven Gaddis, Jimmy Gaddis, Roger Mitchell, and James Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers will be his children and their spouses.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Kiser Rose Hill Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the March of Dimes, 322 Nancy Lynn Lane, Suite 11, Knoxville, TN, 37919.
