He was retired from Pet Dairy and Food City.
Mr. Barham was a charter member of United Baptist Church where he served several years as a deacon and had served 44 years as a Sunday school teacher.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Army.
Mr. Barham loved spending time with his family whom he loved dearly and his church family.
He was an avid Tennessee Vols fan.
He will be sadly missed.
Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years: Dorothy Burger Barham; a son and daughter-in-law: Billy and Janice Barham; a daughter and son-in-law: David and Brenda Hawk, all of Greeneville; three grandsons and spouses: Jason and Jennifer Barham of Afton, Jeremy and Becky Hawk, of Knoxville, and Benji and Becky Hawk of Griffin, Georgia; two special great grandsons: Braden Barham and Cameron Hawk; a special great granddaughter: Blakely Hawk; one sister: Patsy Baxley of Greeneville; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Richard and Paula Burger of Lake Wales, Florida, and Thomas and Sherry Burger of Ormond Beach, Florida; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was the son of the late Otis and Hassie Barham and was preceded in death by a brother, Jackie Dean Barham; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Cleo Burger; and a brother-in-law, Norman Baxley.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2011, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Pastor Nick Bailey and Billy Barham officiating.
Interment will follow at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jason Barham, Jeremy Hawk, Benji Hawk, a nephew, Jackie Barham II, and special
friends, David Davis, Howard Thompson and Gene Shelton.
Honorary pallbearers will be the members of United Baptist Church.
The family wants to thank the staff of Laughlin Memorial Hospital, the staff of Signature Health Care Center of Greeneville, the staff of Caris Hospice, Dr. Dharmen Patel, Dr. Bakshi Mandeep, Dr. James Rodgers, and Dr. Steven Prince.
The family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 2-3 p.m. Saturday preceding the service at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
