"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith" and fight she did for years as her health failed her. Even after she was bedridden, she kept on fighting, hoping to walk again, but now she is running.
She attended Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church as long as her health permitted.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Vickie and Steve Massey of Baileyton; a son and daughter-in-law: Wayne and Brenda Ricker of the Camp Creek Community; two grandsons and spouses: Scottie and Tammy Ricker and Todd and Brandi Ricker; three great grandchildren, who were her pride and joy: Bailey, "Little T", and Cassie Ricker; a sister: Wilma Woolsey; nieces and nephews, who were faithful to visit: Lynn Ricker, Rhonda Gray, Phyllis Massey, Larry and Pat Massey, Gary and Linda Massey; special friends: Judy Johnston, Judy Cutshaw, Mildred Jones, Carolyn Kelley, Tommy and Dot Melton, Joyce Gentry Bailey, Lynn Jones, and William Ricker; and special caregivers: Kristy Bird and Allison Harris.
The family expressed a special thanks to Mary Swanson, who helped with her care.
She was the daughter of the late Dane and Carrie Inman Ricker and was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years: W. T. Ricker, who passed away in April, 2016; and four brothers and three sisters-in-law: Cloyce and Zanie Ricker, Virgil and Bea Ricker, Troy and Louise Ricker, and Harold Keith Ricker.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Sunday and Monday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Todd Ricker officiating.
Interment will follow in Burnett's Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gary Massey, Edward Ricker, Rex Ricker, Dale Ricker, Scottie Ricker, and Todd Ricker.
Honorary pallbearers are Larry Massey, Roy Ricker, Earl Fox, Eb Darnell, Wince Fann, and Lynn Ricker.
