She was a retired employee of Magnavox.
Mrs. Paxton was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her three sons: Charles Edward Paxton of Lawton, Okla., Donald Lee Paxton of Bulls Gap, and Jerry Lynn Paxton of Greeneville; five grandchildren: Steve Paxton of Germany, Teresa Davis and husband, Patrick, of Atlanta, Ga., Clayton Paxton of Bulls Gap, Sheena Paxton and companion, David Cogburn, of Travelers Rest, S.C. and Jamie Paxton of Greeneville; several great-grandchildren; two brothers: Tommy Holt and wife, Wanda, of Greeneville and Lowell Dean Holt of Bulls Gap; two sisters: Wanda Jones of Greeneville and Leuna Wallen of Warren, Mich.; several nieces and nephews; and special friends: Charles and Billie Clowers and Mrs. Hale and family.
She was the daughter of the late Thannie and Ruth Reed Holt and was preceded in death by an infant brother: David Holt; two brothers: Gene Holt and J.T. Holt; and two sisters: Linda Holt and Stella Ott.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Buster Shelton officiating.
Interment will be held in Liberty Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Donald Lee Paxton, Jerry Lynn Paxton, Clayton Paxton, Jamie Paxton, Jimmy Belt and Ronnie Helton.
Honorary pallbearers will be the nurses and staff of Signature HealthCARE of Greeneville.
