She was a farmer, homemaker, member of Warrensburg Community Center, and enjoyed her service as an election official
She was a member of the Bewley’s Chapel Church and Bewley’s Chapel Women’s Society.
Mrs. Taylor will be cherished by her children and grandchildren for her tireless devotion, self sacrifice, and for serving as a role model for them. As a role model, she instilled in her children and grandchildren qualities of honesty, trustworthiness, and the importance of helping others.
Survivors include her children: Wilma Rasnic of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, Alford (Mettra) Taylor, Lenten (Patricia) Taylor, and Winfred (Sherree) Taylor, all of Midway, and Abigail (John) Biggers of Marianna, Florida; grandchildren: Beckie (Michael) Shaw, Nikki (Greg) Bernet, John “Jack” Rasnic, all of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, Rachel (Jerry) Waddell, Alford J. “A.J.” Taylor, Ayla Taylor, Dr. Patrick Taylor, Jessica Taylor, Chris (Lindsay) Johnson, Andrea (Brent) Gray, Ashley (Chad) Higginbotham, all of Greene County, and Emma Biggers of Marianna, Florida; three great grandchildren: Olivia and Iain Shaw of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, and Trey Johnson of Greeneville; two brothers: Wayland (Wilma) Huff and Jerald (Peggy) Huff; sister: Helen Mashburn; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband: Frank Taylor, to whom she was married for fifty years; her parents: Maggie Belle and Wilbur Huff; sister: Gladys Keller; brother: Riley Huff; and stepson: Mitchell Taylor.
The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks and gratitude to their mother’s recent and past caretakers who were devoted to her: Margaret Tilley, Flora Mae Tolliver, Paula Phillips, Mary Jo Luttrell, and Liz Lloyd.
The family will receive friends from 2-6 p.m. Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday at Bewley's Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Rick Hollifield officiating. Alan Broyles will deliver the eulogy.
Interment will follow at 8:00 a.m. Saturday at Bewley’s Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Joe Phillips leading the service.
Her grandchildren will be pallbearers.
