Gary “Lynn” Woods, age 58, of Highway 70 Bypass, Greeneville, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Signature Health Care.
He worked in construction as a carpenter and was of the Church of God tradition of faith.
He loved NASCAR and softball. He kept records for the softball league for many years.
Lynn is survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law: Dianne Riddle, Joyce and Richard Broyles, Joan and Claude Landers, and Wanda and Jim Broyles, all of Greeneville; brothers and sisters-in-law: Donnie Woods and fiancé Virginia Fellers, Carroll Woods, David and Sharon Woods, Jerry and UnaVee Woods, and Kenneth Woods, all of Greeneville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was a son of the late Carl and Lucille Woods and was preceded in death by a sister: Shelby Jean Woods.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at Flag Branch Church of God with Rev. Willis Bowers officiating. The visitation will follow the service and a private interment will be at a later date.
