She was a housewife and a retired school teacher.
Mrs. Bryant was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she was active in the Presbyterian Women of First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Robert Joseph “Bob” and Kathy Bryant of Knoxville; four grandchildren: Adam Bryant of Denver, Colorado, Lee Bryant of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Thomas M. Bryant IV and spouse, Joanna, of Kershaw, South Carolina, and Chandler Dabit and spouse, Joe, of Charleston, South Carolina; four great grandchildren: Elizabeth Dabit, Amirah Dabit, Ava Bryant, and Isabella Bryant; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of the late Robert S. and Bessie Mobley McGarity and was preceded in death by her husband: T.M. “Tom” Bryant, Jr.; two sons: Thomas Bryant III and Russell M. Bryant; two brothers: R.S. McGarity Jr. and Nathan S. McGarity; and daughter-in-law: Beth Bryant.
The family will receive friends from 5:30-7pm Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Following the visitation, the funeral service will be conducted at 7pm Friday, October 18, 2013, in Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Dr. Dan Donaldson officiating.
Interment will follow at 11am Saturday at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. It is requested that family and friends, who would like to join the family to go in procession to the committal service, meet at the funeral home at 10:30am Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Bob Bryant, Adam Bryant, Thomas Bryant, Joe Dabit, Sammy Fox, Melvin Jones, and John Craft.
Honorary pallbearers will be Felty Massengill and Mike Sauls.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Presbyterian Women of First Presbyterian Church, 110 North Main Street, Greeneville, TN 37743.
