She attended Horse Creek Church of God.
Mrs. Sanders retired as a registered nurse.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years: Harold Sanders; two daughters and sons-in-law: Melodie and Boyce Erwin of Houston, Texas and Kimberly and Talmadge Graves of Chattanooga, Tennessee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of the late William and Jennie Cutshaw and was preceded in death by eight sisters and five brothers.
She was the first in her family to graduate from Greeneville High School, and she also graduated from the Baptist Memorial School of Nursing in Memphis, TN, and became a registered nurse. She was a faithful and loyal wife who worked beside her husband in Christian ministry for many years. She was a pastor’s wife and a Sunday school teacher, and she devoted her life to helping others in any way needed for as long as her health permitted. She loved to make crafts and quilts and to work in her garden and she also dearly loved seeing her sisters, nieces, and nephews at family reunions.
The family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bobby Morrison and Pastor Willard Wilcox officiating.
Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home Friday at 9:30 a.m. to go in procession to the cemetery.
