She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Doris was very devoted to her family and was loved by all she met. She will be missed by all.
She was a member of the Flag Branch Church of God for the past 47 years where she sang in the choir and was active in the bus ministry.
Doris is survived by her husband, Roger Pleasant, who was married to Doris for the past 21 years and took care of her until her passing; three daughters and a son-in-law, Lisa And Kenneth Brown, Jackie Blankenship, and Sherry Kirkpatrick; grandchildren, Brandon Ricker, Ryan and Kristin Malone, Brooke and Matt Ripley, and Devin and Dylan Earley; great-grandchildren, Natalie, Howie, and Heidi Ann Ripley, and Winter Malone; a sister, Betty Harrison; and a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Phyllis Harrison; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Linda and Terry Mullins, Louise Seagle, Gary Blankenship, Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Blankenship, and Herbert Reynolds; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by special friends, Hattie and Barry Henderson, Casey Cope, Annette Payne, and Jeanette Tweed.
She was the daughter of the late David and Nona Harrison. Doris was preceded in death by her first husband, Bobby Jack Blankenship, who was the father of their three daughters; a brother, David “Clinton” Harrison; two sisters, Nelle Reynolds and Dorothy Harrison; sisters-in-law, Wanda Blankenship, Eula Shelton, and Lula Davis; and brothers-in-law, Vance Blankenship and Larry Blankenship.
The family will receive friends 1-3pm and 5-7pm Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7pm in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel, officiated by Rev. Willis Bowers and Rev. Ricky Morrison.
Interment will be 11am Wednesday at Flag Branch Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet 10am at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers are Jeffery Harrison, Brian Harrison, Matt Ripley, Randy Tweed, David Reynolds, and Jerry Wilhoit.
Honorary Pallbearers are the Members of Flag Branch Church of God.
