She was born in Greeneville on February 9, 1951.
Mrs. Barner was a member of Pruitt Hill United Methodist Church, where she was also a member of the Women’s Group.
Survivors include her husband: John Lee Barner; daughters and sons-in-law: Rochelle and Allen Palmer and Betty and Chris Gause; sister: JoAnn Miller (Derrick Gates); brothers: Curtis Moore, Bobby Joe Moore, Robert Edwards, and Craig Edwards; mother: Mary Katherine Moore; mother-in-law: Willie Kate and James Barner; grandchildren: Dashaud Moore (Callie), Kameron Fields, Jherivus Moore, Rayvon Fields, Tyreek Barner, Ayonna Stricker, A’marha Gause, Saimara Palmer, Shanika Gause, Akeem Jenerette; special nieces: Yvette Moore, Melissa Moore, Lyndia Barner, Shardaye Releford, and Dainyale Moore; special nephews: Ronez Wilson and Norman Wilson; adopted nephew: Bryan Hamilton; special friends: Mico Martin, Shekeina Wells, Hannah Shipley, and Doris; three step children; four step grandchildren; twelve nieces; seven nephews; a very special aunt: Sidney Barner; and her godson: Rico Barner.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard B. Moore; sisters: Norma Gene Moore, Jessie Moore Tate, and Mary Katherine Moore Lynch; brother: Richard Eugene Moore; nephews: Robert Gibson Wilson and Marcus Allen Edwards; son-in-law: Kevin Dewain Jones; and several aunts and uncles.
The family will receive friends from 11am-2pm Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor William Pace and Rev. Rochelle Maxwell officiating.
Interment will follow in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Allen Barner, Dean Barner, Michael Hamilton, Jesse Barner, Norman Wilson, and Calvin Barner.
Honorary pallbearers are the office of Dr. Odell and the staff at Laughlin Hospital ICU and 4 West.
