David Powell Tweed

He was an employee of Greene Valley Developmental Center and was a longtime TSSAA sports official for football, basketball and softball.

He was a loving, devoted husband and father who was known as a very kind person.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years: Sandra Tweed; daughter: Courtney Tweed; two brothers: Randy Tweed and wife, Jeanette and Edward Tweed; nieces and nephews: Aaron Tweed and wife, Jessica, Whitney Tweed, Michael Maceyko and wife, Sydney, Jennifer Maceyko, Eddie Ray Tweed, Linda Tweed, Brenda Tweed; mother-in-law: Joan Maceyko; and brother-in-law: Scott Maceyko and wife, Mary.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Powell and Lillian Werner Tweed, and his father-in-law, Frank Maceyko.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Saturday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2012 in Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Willis Bowers and Rev. Jimmy Fillers officiating.

His pallbearers will be family and friends.

His co-workers at GVDC, security guards at John Deere and his fellow sports officials will serve as honorary pallbearers.
