He was a student at West Greene High School and was a member of the FFA. He was also a member of the Orebank Volunteer Fire Department. David had a passion for farming and loved diesel trucks.
Survivors include mother and step father, Tracy Gregg and Sammy Valentine; father, John Gregg, three brothers, Carter Gregg, Garrett Valentine and Hunter Valentine (Reesa); three sisters, Ravin Valentine, Harley Valentine (Devin) and Johnnie Gregg; grandparents, Alvin Peters (Irene), and Betty Stout (Gary); aunts and uncles, Amanda Walters (Matthew) and David Peters (Amber), a special great uncle, Benny Carter. Also surviving are special cousins, Addison Leah, Averi and Layla Peters, Ethan and Amara Walters and more as well as special friends, Mason Dean, Jacob Wright and many more.
David was preceded in death by his grandmother, Betty Peters and his grandfather and grandmother, John and Naomi Carter.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 2 – 4 pm and from 5 – 7 pm at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will follow at 7 pm in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Benny Hensley officiating.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 3 pm in Jackson Chapel Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home at 2 pm Tuesday, to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers are Jacob Wright, Mason Dean, Collin Knight, Benny Vega, Jeremy Shoun and Mike Snead.
Honorary pallbearers are members of Orebank Volunteer Fire Department and West Greene FFA.
