Mr Hensley was a favorite to many students at SGHS. I always remembered a smile to all the students. His teaching has changed many students in his class. He will be missed

My heart goes out to Rhonda and the rest of Dale's family. I cannot remember not knowing Dale, when I was younger I would see him riding horses by our house. Then I had him as a teacher at SGHS he was a great teacher and there are many interesting stories to be told of those days. Later he was assistant Principal to my kids. They always liked Dale. He has inspired and encouraged many people during his lifetime. It was an honor to have known him and call him my friend. Rest in Peace Dale your work here is done. Gallop into the sunset and ride with the Angels old friend.

Goodbye my friend Dale Hensley tell(the pygmy cowboy) Jim Fairchild I said hi. I remember all the time we went to Jim and Fay Fairchild's for the horse sales. Man did we have some good times. I remember getting stopped by the same cop in Rushville,In so many times the last time he just said go on Tennessee.Goodbye my friend.

I first came to know Dale at Greene Valley where we worked when we were both still college students.  I then taught at Camp Creek, Dale came a year later.  I went to South Greene and Dale soon came there too.  I always considered him a friend, and though I hadn't seen him in years, I would think of him from time to time.  He was also a friend to my children when they were at South Greene.  I will keep you family in my prayers.

You will forever be missed Ol friend, forever with us till we meet again. Our thoughts,prayers & love to your family. We know you are at peace with no pain & all the horses in heaven that we can only dream of. Lots of love old friend.

Always enjoyed having Dale come into Village Square Restaurant for a meal and enjoyed talking with him. He will be missed by everyone there.May God comfort his family at this time of sorrow.

My deepest sympathy to Dale's family. Dale recommended me as a horse show judge on many occasions and I always enjoyed judging the shows when he was the announcer. He will be sadly missed in the horse show world.

What can you add to a man's life who has been such an inspiration too so many. Dale's life was an example of giving and being a mentor too not only those in his community but too many through out the country.  Dale was a mentor, inspiraton and a dear friend he will be greatly missed. Too Rhonda and family my prayers are with you.

Dale, you are going to be greatly missed in the family. Nickolai is not going to have anyone to send to the chicken house now..or fuss at for letting the cucumbers in the garden get too big. You were a great dad and friend. I knew I could come to you with any problem and you'd help me solve it. You will be missed dearly.

Dale touched many and was a inspiration to all.  He was a good teacher a good neighbor and was kind to my son; giving him work to do around the ranch during his high school days.  My deepest sympathy to his family.

So sorry for your loss. Jody and I loved Dale, and will miss him very much!!!! We loved hanging out with him on Sunday's at the barn, or going to sales. Dale was a great friend and was so good to us, and we will never forget him!!!!!!!!!! I love you Dale, and will see you again in Heaven someday!!!

J. Dale touched many lives in our horse community here.  His goodness lives on is so many ways.  I pray for comfort for his family and friends in this time of grief.  I shall think of him every time I teach a child a riding lesson on one of the horses he sold to me.   May God's love soften this harsh time.

He was one of my most favorite teachers at SGHS.  My prayers go out to his family.  He will be missed by many.

I will never forget the wonderful memories made with Dale. Jeff and I have been so many places with him that we probably wouldn't have made it to on our own. We will always remember one of the greatest friends we have ever had.

He would always lend a hand, respect, or inspiration to anyone that needed it. He was a great mentor in life, I look back at all the life lessons learned during the time I spent with him over the years. He would never hold anything back, Dale would always tell you how it was. If there was work to be done, than he expected it to be done. This was a great life lesson, for myself and any others that had the privelege of sharing time with him. Dale Hensley will always be missed in the Johnson House, its tough to lose such a Close Friend and Mentor.

You will be greatly missed by many. I appreciate everything you have done for us over the years. You are one of a kind and a truly special man in the hearts of so many.

To his family may God comfort you during this time of sorrow. Mr. Hensley was such an important part of my high school days. He made me love books more than I already did. I have thought of him often over the years as my favorite teacher. He will be sadly missed by me and alot of people.

I have several great memories of staying at Dale's house on our summer vacations before the birth of our daughter.  He will be missed by many but he an Jim can now auctioneer together again and be pain free.

Dale was such an inspiration for me.  He was always there for me in school and in the horse world.  I got to spend a lot of time on the road with him traveling to Pennsylvania, Indiana, West Virginia, and numerous other places for horse sales.  I thought the world of him and will miss him terribly.  My thoughts go out to Rhonda, Kelly, and Kevin and the rest of his beloved friends and family.
