He was a former employee of Pet Milk Co. and later was manager of Mary Carter Paint Store in Morristown.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Cutshaw was a life-long member of the VFW. Mr. Cutshaw was a distinguished veteran of WW II and received a bronze star for his service in Burma as a member of the Mars Task Force and Merrill’s Marauders.
Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law: James and Betty Cutshaw of Greeneville; three sisters and a brother-in-law: Dailey Ruble of Greeneville, Fannie Slagle of Limestone, and Jeanette and Drewery Loggins of Gainsville, Georgia; four nephews: Mike Cutshaw, Billy Cutshaw, Larry Cutshaw, Steve Taylor; three nieces: Beth Williams, Vickie Manis, Karen Larch; several great nieces and great nephews; and a host of friends.
He was the son of the late Rev. S. A. and Elizabeth Ramsey Cutshaw and was preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis and Roman Cutshaw; and a sister, Louise Taylor.
The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 11 am Friday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Drewery Loggins and Rev. Mike Cutshaw officiating. There will be special presentation by Billy Cutshaw.
Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Tusculum.
Full military honors will be conducted with pallbearers being provided by members of the U. S. Army, 75th Ranger Regiment of Ft. Benning, Georgia.
