Brenda G. Roberts

She was a member of GreeneLawn Baptist Church. Brenda was a retired employee of Greene Valley Development Center.

The family states she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and was loved very much by her family and all who knew her.

Brenda is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Roy Roberts Jr. and wife Tasha; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Rhonda Ricker and husband Matthew, Angie Collins, Shannon Ivy and Tohnya Grey and husband Karl; one stepson, Marty Collins and a son she loved as her own, Danny Ricker; two adopted children, Deanna Thacker and husband Dusty and Miley Roberts. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren; three sisters, Shelba Shipley and husband Jimmy, Charlotte Carmack, Teresa Banks and husband Billy; several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, of 47 years, and the love of her life, Roy C. Roberts, Sr.; father and mother, Harold Starcher and Lena Hensley Starcher; four brothers, Richard, Gene, Preston and H. D. Starcher; two step-sons, Jimmy and Billy Roberts; mother and step father-in-law, Anna Belle and Jim Russell; father and step mother-in-law, Chester and Louise Roberts; two brothers-in-law, Clay Fillers and Chester Carmack; two sisters-in-law, Donna Starcher and Linda Starcher as well as a son-in-law, James Ivy and a great granddaughter, Nevaeh Cutshall.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1 – 3 pm and 5 – 7 pm at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 pm in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Danny Ricker officiating.

A graveside service will be held on Friday at 2 pm in Cedar Creek Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1 pm on Friday to go in procession to the cemetery.

Pallbearers are Brock Church, Nicholas Roberts, Allen Cutshall, Clint Brobeck, Cory Cutshall, Jeremy Davis, Brandon Ivy and James Ivy III.
