She was a retired teacher from the Greene County School System and Unicoi School System.
She was a member of Greeneville First Baptist Church.
Brenda was a member of the Greene County Commission for 10 years, a director for Gifts for Kids, and a volunteer for the Greene County Partnership.
Survivors include a daughter: Stephanie Jean Grogan of Greeneville; father and mother: John and Betty Rader of Greene County; special grandmother: Vergie Gray; special aunts and uncles: Grandy Gray, Janie Solomon and Unav Taylor of Greeneville, Eva Wall of Atlanta, Georgia, and Doug Whittenburg of Pennsylvania; several cousins, including special cousins: Diane Whittenburg and Ronnie Seay of Greeneville, Anthony Solomon of Mosheim, Lisa Britton of Sweetwater, Tennessee, Mark Gray of Morgan City, Louisiana, and Amy Verrett of Laffayette, Louisiana; and her special friends: Jan Kiker, Frances Kinser, Vonetta Brannan of Greeneville, and Naomi Renner and John Waddle of Mosheim.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Debra Ann Rader.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home preceding the funeral service at 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Jeff Blake, Roger Jones, and Russell Kinser will officiate.
Interment will follow at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Pine Grove Cemetery. It is requested that family and friends meet at the funeral home by 9:00 a.m. Monday to go in procession to the committal service.
Her pallbearers will be Mark Gray, Anthony Solomon, Michael Britton, Ronnie Seay, Dwayne Casteel, and Doug Renner.
Greene County Commissioners will serve as honorary pallbearers.
