Billy Joe Heck

He retired as a salesman for Kern’s Bakery after 43 years of service.

Mr. Heck was a member of Emmaus Independent Baptist Church in Kingsport.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years: Theda Irene Heck; a son and daughter-in-law: Randall and Patti Heck; two sisters: Merle Bledsoe and Bernice Collins; several nieces and nephews, including Marty Hyatt and Renee Tweed; and a sister-in-law: Nancy Hyatt.

He was the son of the late Nick and Olive Heck and was preceded in death by five brothers: Bob, Lyle, Howard, Doc and Rex Heck, all of Iowa.

The family will receive friends 5-8 pm Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 8 pm Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Phil Kidd officiating.

Interment will be 10 am Monday at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at 9:30 am Monday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery for the committal service.

Family and friends will be pallbearers.
