She had been an employee of Nu Mark Corp for over 30 years. She was a member of Jackson Chapel Free Will Baptist Church and a member of the Women of Jackson Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
Betty is survived by one granddaughter and husband, Stephanie and Alex Brice of Greeneville; a great grandson, Sebastian Brice; one sister, Janie Solomon of Mosheim; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Grandy and Christine Gray of Greeneville and Doug Whittenburg of Florida; two brothers-in-law, Fred Rader of Mosheim and Joe Wall of Atlanta, Georgia as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of the late Aubrey Whittenburg and Alice Gray, step father, Harry Gray and step mother, Virgie Gray. She was preceded in death by her husband John Junior Rader and two daughters, Debra Ann Rader and Brenda Gay Grogan, one brother, Kyle Whittenburg; and two sisters, Evelyn Seay and Eva Wall.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 4 – 7 pm at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 pm in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Jeff Blake officiating.
Interment will be on Friday at 11 am in Pine Grove Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10:15 am at the funeral home to procession to the cemetery for the committal service.
Pallbearers are family and friends.
Honorary pallbearers are Members of Jackson Chapel Free Will Baptist Church and Rev. Charles Montgomery.
