She retired from Magnavox.
She was a member of Victory Church of God.
Betty was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was strong in her faith. She always put others before herself. She was loved by all who knew her, always had a smile and left an impression on everyone she met. What a glorious day to meet her daughter in Heaven.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years: Amos Franklin; two granddaughters and spouses: Shanna and Stephen Carlton of Greeneville and Niki and Sean Conner of Norfolk, Virginia; four great grandchildren: Taylor, Hunter, Kallie, and Cole Carlton of Greeneville; brother: Lawrence “Pete” Cutshall; special nieces and nephews: Carol and Grady Norton, Edith and Spence Rice, Geneva and Joe Kilday, and J.D. Lowe; and her special friends: Rhonda and Randy Cutshaw, Sharon Smith, Ann and Oscar Ward, Brenda Hall, Barbara Fox, Jaime Lamb, Sam Greene, Pearl Hensley, and Cindy and Jim Walter.
She was the daughter of the late Luther and Lovina Shelton Cutshall and was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Franklin Cox, four brothers, and three sisters.
The family will receive friends from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 8pm Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Fillers officiating.
Interment will be at 12pm Monday at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are requested to meet at 11am Monday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tim Ward, Randy Cutshaw, Tony Norton, Spence Rice, Joe Kilday, and Mike Ward.
Honorary pallbearers are Oscar Ward, Grady Norton, and doctors, nurses and staff of Laughlin Memorial Hospital.
