She was of the Methodist faith and attended Mount Carmel Methodist Church. She retired from Magnavox after more than 40 years.
The family states she was a devoted loving mother, wife and friend.
She is survived by three children and their spouses, Jeff and Karen Kilday, Eddie and Meridee Barnes and Lezlee and Phil Ball; grandchildren, Kris Kilday (Grace Ricker), Dustin Kilday (Lejla Muhic), Zach Barnes, Ryan Fink and Mike Fink; great grandchild, Isla Kilday; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Diane McAmis; sister and brother-in-law, Lorraine and Eddie Charlton; sister-in-law, Sandra McAmis; special cousin Brenda Long as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Barnes; parents, Ben and Opal McAmis; and brothers and one sister-in-law, Billy and Jane McAmis and Bud McAmis.
The family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 from 5 – 7 pm at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 pm in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Richard Long officiating.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 11 am in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10 am to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Kilday, Kris Kilday, Dustin Kilday, Jason Gass, Zack Barnes and Eddie Barnes.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to friends Barbara Frye and Betty Beach as well as the staff at Greeneville Community Hospital and Hospice.
