Anita Ruth Clark

Anita’s pride and joy were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was blessed to have shared many visits from them the last few days of her life on this earth.

Anita became affectionately known as “Gran” at the nursing home and always had a smile to share with the many friends and special caregivers there. Gran always looked forward to participating in the activities and she especially looked forward to church services and playing bingo. Gran had planned to take a motorcycle ride for her 91st birthday on June 11th.

Anita also took pride in her flowers and raising her vegetable garden to share with family and friends.

She is survived by two very devoted and loving daughters and sons-in-law: Mary Ann and Billy DeBusk of Greeneville and Teresa and Charles Parks of Mosheim; son and daughter-in-law: J.C. and Janice Clark of Midway; three special grandsons and their spouses: Chuck and Diane Clark and Rick and Cheri DeBusk of Greeneville and Lenton and Ashley Parks of Midway; four great grandsons: Brandon and Trey Clark, Tyler DeBusk and Spencer Shelton of Greene County; two sisters: Bea Jordan of Greeneville and Mildred Smith of Michigan; special friends: Violet Crum and Rayven Gentry; several nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law: Nancy Johnson and Grace Gray.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Scott Clark; an infant daughter: Janie Clark; an infant son: David Clark; a granddaughter: Sherry DeBusk Shelton; parents: Carl and Emma Johnson; brother: Max Johnson; and her stepfather: Clarence Jordan.

The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 27, in Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Doyle Pruitt, Rev. Jim Fain, and Rev. Buster Shelton officiating.

Interment will follow in West Greene Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.

Her pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.

Violet Crum, Rayven Gentry, the staff of Signature HealthCare, and the staff of Caris Hospice will serve as honorary pallbearers.
